I’ve been trying to do something like this for many years. I actually set up my WordPress account in 2017 with the intention of living and documenting my best life. It’s sad that I only really have had time made now due to the pandemic we’re currently experiencing. I’m lucky to not be massively vulnerable but I look after someone who is so I’m social distancing for the foreseeable future. I try not to dwell on the circumstances and just take things as they come. So on the positive side from a gaming/crafting point of view I gain back my getting ready for work and commuting times.
My husband JC is a gamer too, albeit a lapsed one, time is not his friend either. He’s much more into arcade restoration and collecting these days – check his work out over at https://mynintendoarcade.com/. Anyway he wants to get in on the making gaming time and suggested that at least once a week we have a couple of hours gaming together. This is something that’s been resurrected as before life got in the way I introduced him to World of Warcraft and we also used to have a console games night. As the office is being used as an office right now, I’m decreeing it’s a drinks, consoles and sofa night.
Now, before we go any further, I need to make a confession, please don’t judge me too harshly… I like shit games. Now, I like good games too, don’t get me wrong I’m all for a AAA title. However, I do love terrible grindy RPGs, small studio random releases and games that drop sub £20 a week or two after release. It’s the ecclectic part of me. My music taste is just as random.
So tonight we game! It was my pick so I’ve gone for Overcooked 2. This is for two reasons, firstly I platinumed (it’s totally a word) it on PS4 pages ago but then they brought new content out so it’s not technically 100% any more. Secondly, it’s the comedy value. We get to a certain point then JC hits a wall. His ears, brain and hands disengage and its hilarious and that’s without a drink in hand. So I’m going to stop talking about it and going to go and make it happen. Ttfn!
