So yesterday I managed to get a bit of one on one time in for Overcooked 2. JC had to go do VIW (Very Important Work) after he took a call. So being the kind, supportive wife that I am; I stole the disc out of his console (no point in me going through the drawers of shame for mine!) and got busy working on my % completion.
Maybe it was the fun we had the previous night, maybe it was that I forgot you had to manage two characters in game on one player (which is bonkers); but I just wasn’t feeling it. My resourcefulness in the ‘borrowing’ of the disc paid off though as JC finished his work and we caught me up to the point he was at, netting me a lone trophy for completing chapter 2.
I genuinely wasn’t feeling it though so I packed it in and broke one of my own (very loose) rules that I have to try and contain the chaos. I put a new game in without completing one. This might not seem like a big thing but I try to keep my crazy and uncompleted games list in check! So in the PS4 went Little Dragon Cafe. I’ve played it a little and it may well fall into other people’s ‘crap games’ category. But for me it’s a nice mix of family, switch your brain off, collect stuff grindy fun. The kind of thing I dont have to think about but can take my mind off the world outside.
Mentioning the world outside, we’ve just had the news that the UK is basically going into lockdown. It’s not surprising and was needed but that doesn’t fill me with any less apprehension for the next few weeks ahead. Spinning it in a positive way its more time in and for hobbies. I’m happy with little company and as a gamer and sticher I’m well prepared for it!
